Canberra Family Law – Can science predict if a marriage will last?

Science continues to shed light on how our subconscious emotions affect relationship satisfaction, as researchers try to identify predictors of successful marriages.  

At Florida State University recently, researchers collected survey data from newlyweds over a four year period, and together with experiments involving an ‘associative priming task’, were able to establish the key finding: The more subconscious negativity in a newlywed, the larger the decline in marital satisfaction four years later.
