Alliance Family Law is pleased to announce we have added to our services with the appointment of a dedicated criminal and traffic lawyer to our team. Operating as Alliance Criminal Law, we now have a website here: http://www.criminallawcanberra.com.au/ and a Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/alliancecriminallaw?fref=nf.
Whether you are under investigation or have been charged with a criminal or traffic offence, what you need most is advice–to understand your options, know what you can expect, and to be prepared. Even what appears to be quite a minor charge can have far reaching consequences on family, friends, employment and your ability to travel overseas. Our job is to make sure you understand this, and to help you get the best outcome for you, given your particular circumstances. We won’t make promises we can’t keep; we won’t give you false hope; we won’t waste your money. We will help you.

In all criminal law matters it is critical that you get legal advice as soon as possible. We strongly recommend that until you have spoken with your lawyer, you give a “no comment” interview.
It is your right not to respond and to risk incriminating yourself. You do not have to respond to any allegations. No matter how much you want to defend yourself and your actions, and to explain what happened, it is far better that you wait until after you have spoken with your lawyer.
Be polite, be courteous, but always say: “no comment”.
Traffic law
If you need a traffic lawyer to represent you, a family member, or a friend, then please get in touch. Whether it’s speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), jumping a red light or a stop sign, or even a parking ticket you just didn’t deserve, you need representation.
Traffic offences are a serious matter and you need to take them seriously. They can have a serious impact on your current job, and your future employment prospects.
A traffic offence can sometimes lead to a more serious criminal offence so if you ever suspect a serious charge is being considered you should simply respond “no comment” until you have spoken with your lawyer. Please remember to always be polite and courteous.
If you are not guilty, using a lawyer can help to make sure you get a fair hearing and that you have the best chance of being aquitted.
Or if you have inadvertently committed an offence then using a lawyer can help to make sure the penalty is appropriate and within the proper range for that kind of offence.
Using a lawyer is an investment, and we can help with good advice, service and support.
