Increase to court filing fees on 1 July 2016

The Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia have announced an increase to the court filing fees. The new court fees will start on 1 July 2016.

Almost all the filing fees have gone up slightly. We draw your attention to the main ones:

  • Application for Consent Orders: currently $155, new fees $160.
  • Application for Divorce: currently $848, new fees $865.
  • Initiating Application: new fees will range from $330 to $660.
  • Setting down for hearing fee: currently $590, new fee $605.
  • Conciliation conference: currently $370, new fee $380.
